How We Celebrated!

It’s hard to believe it’s been over two decades since we graduated from Roncalli High School, but our 20 Year Reunion weekend brought us all back. Back to the place we first experienced independence, developed academically, began life-long friendships and back to where we started down the life paths we are still on today.

As soon as people walked through the doors of the Fox & Hound Pub or Roncalli, the clock was rolled back. Even though it had been years since we were all together, conversations and friendships rekindled as if they had begun only yesterday.

Some of the new memories we created during the reunion weekend were captured in photos for you to enjoy.

July 29, 2005 – Friday

Fox & Hound Pub & Grille
120th & Dodge Street – Omaha

See The Photos!Nearly 70 people attended this opening event, 50+ of whom were alumni of the Class of 1985.

Any nervous feelings people experienced prior to the reunion, quickly disappeared as soon as they walked through the doors. People could be overheard reminiscing about former flames, old football plays and high school parties they had attended. They were also heard telling stories of their lives since Roncalli. Tim Hand was even selling tickets to his “show”!

July 30, 2005 – Saturday

Benson Park Golf Course
5333 North 72nd Street – Omaha

See The Photos! There were 24 die-hard individuals who played golf despite major handicaps, which for some included, the lack of any basic golfing skills, hang-overs from the night before, and Jim Barna even played with a few broken ribs!! Through it all, everyone had a good time out on the links!

Social/Dinner at Roncalli
6401 Sorensen Parkway (remember when it used to be Redick Ave.?) – Omaha

See The Photos!Over 100 people came to Roncalli for the finale event. Of those in attendance, nearly 60 were ’85 alums!

The evening began with tours of the changes made to Roncalli’s structure since 1985, followed by dinner, drinks, and entertainment by Joe Cole. The reunion was topped off by door prizes and an incredible DVD produced by Mike McKay.

The party was still going strong when it was time to lock-up – a good example of how time stands still when you’re with old friends!
