It was a tough day and the kids turned out some amazing performances. The weather has been a big factor in the last few meets. This time it was not raining but it was cold and the wind seemed to get stronger as the day went on. The boys turned out some great performances and although we improved in almost every event, we were unable to score any points. The girls swept the field events which gave us a great start. We were in the running for winning the meet and the points were close and we came home with 3rd place for the Girls and set three new school records including:

   Jackie Luedtke, Shot Put, 31' 7"
   Lauren Baird, Long Jump, 14' 8.5"
   Lauren Baird, Triple Jump, 29' 10"

We are very proud of all the kids. The competition and the wind tooks it's toll but they were real troopers and ran their hearts out.
